Ofwat have announced the winners of its inaugural Innovation in Water challenge competition. Eleven collaborative projects will receive up to £250k each to tackle the biggest issues facing the water sector in England and Wales. Of the 11 successful projects, 7 involve local water companies – Bristol Water, Dŵr Cymru (Welsh Water), South West Water and Wessex Water – and two involve researchers at Cardiff University and the University of Exeter.
